Our Services
Diagnostic Imaging Done Right
MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray — same-day scheduling available, shorter waits, and dramatically lower prices than hospitals.
MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Detailed soft tissue imaging without radiation.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses powerful magnets and radio waves to produce detailed images of soft tissues, organs, and structures inside the body. At Decatur Diagnostic Imaging, we use the most advanced AI-powered MRI technology — delivering faster scan times and superior image quality, all at a fraction of the hospital cost.
Common uses include:
- Brain and neurological conditions
- Spine and back pain
- Joint injuries (knee, shoulder, hip)
- Abdominal and pelvic organs
- Soft tissue tumors
Up to 66% less — same diagnostic quality.
What to Expect
Before your scan
You'll be asked to remove metal objects and change into a gown. Our technologist will review your medical history and answer any questions.
During your scan
You'll lie on a padded table that slides into the MRI machine. The scan typically takes 30–60 minutes. You'll hear knocking sounds — this is normal.
After your scan
Results are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist and sent to your referring physician within 24 hours — so your care team can act quickly.
Ultrasound
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Real-time imaging — safe, fast, and radiation-free.
Diagnostic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of internal organs and structures. It is completely radiation-free, making it a safe choice for a wide range of patients. Our experienced sonographers deliver accurate results quickly.
Common uses include:
- Abdominal organs (liver, gallbladder, kidneys)
- Pelvic and gynecological exams
- Vascular and blood flow studies
- Musculoskeletal soft tissue
- Thyroid and neck
Up to 66% less — same diagnostic quality.
What to Expect
Before your scan
Preparation varies by exam type. Some ultrasounds require fasting or a full bladder — our team will give you specific instructions when you schedule.
During your scan
A gel is applied to the skin and a small handheld device (transducer) is moved over the area. The exam is painless and typically takes 20–45 minutes.
After your scan
Images are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist and a report is sent to your referring physician within 24 hours.
X-ray
Digital X-ray
Fast, accurate imaging for bones and more.
Digital X-ray is one of the most common and efficient diagnostic tools available. At Decatur Diagnostic Imaging, we use modern digital X-ray equipment that produces high-quality images quickly — with radiologist reports delivered to your referring physician within 24 hours.
Common uses include:
- Bone fractures and injuries
- Chest and lung conditions
- Spine alignment
- Arthritis and joint conditions
- Pre-surgical evaluation
Up to 66% less — same diagnostic quality.
What to Expect
Before your scan
You may be asked to remove jewelry or clothing in the area being imaged. No special preparation is typically required for most X-rays.
During your scan
You'll be positioned by our technologist and asked to hold still briefly while the image is taken. Most X-rays take only a few minutes.
After your scan
Digital images are available almost immediately and are sent to your referring physician — with a radiologist's report delivered within 24 hours.
